TCHA 2023 Year in Review
Over the past two years, Twin Cities Housing Alliance (TCHA) has built an incredible network, created technical resources and guides, and been recognized as a leader that’s influencing a productive housing ecosystem throughout our region. This work would not be possible without our membership that supports our mission of More Homes, Thriving Communities. Thanks to you, our voice is valued and recognized.
Looking ahead, there is still much to be done as we lean into the headwinds that will continue to impact the housing economy, including increased safety concerns, constriction of the capital markets, and continued cost increases in insurance, taxes, and construction. We expect that these challenges will be exacerbated by current and pending city policies that could further restrict the housing market and propel our region into another severe supply shortage.
Without your professional support and financial commitments, we would not have the capacity to address these issues and make an impact. Thank you.
The commitment of our members helps TCHA advocate for local and regional housing policies that:
Produce more new housing with thoughtful policies to increase the available stock of rental units from deeply affordable, income-restricted units to new, market-rate units.
Preserve and enhance existing housing that is naturally affordable to minimize displacement and increase housing quality.
Protect and prioritize residents who are most vulnerable, experiencing the worst income disparities, and are at greatest risk of displacement.
